Botox and Dysport Injection

FDA-approved Botox and Dysport have become mainstays in the treatment of many facial lines and wrinkles.  Dr. Meier uses both Botox® and Dysport to treat crow’s feet around the eyes, the forehead and frown lines, and the banding that can occur in the neck.  Botox and Dysport are both excellent yet work slightly different with some patients preferring one over the other.  A few days after injection, wrinkles and creases are smoothed out.  Consistent use of these products can also prevent new deep wrinkles and avoid the etched-in lines that are sometimes visible. Typically, results last about 4 months. Some patients on a regular maintenance program report going as long as six months before needing another treatment.
